This Web site was created to support the study of ecology in Sabino Canyon, a part of the Coronado National Forest, located in southeast Arizona in the Sonoran Desert. Students from the greater Tucson-area visit Sabino Canyon and participate in learning activities related to the plants and animals that grow and live in the canyon. Field trips are conducted by Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists (SCVN) and this Web site supports the "The Web of Life" learning kit in particular. Many people have contributed to this Web site. They are named on the resources page. All the text on this site was written by Judi Moreillon. The chart of predator-prey features of mammals was adapted from the work of the Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists and has been shared with their permission. All the photographs on this site were taken by Judi Moreillon with the exception of the four mammal photographs, which have been used with the permission of DesertUSA.
