Ann Ewbank: Everything on a Waffle Web Quest
Anchored in fourth through eighth grade Arizona language arts standards, particularly writing, and involves social studies through cultural exploration of food and geography, this WebQuest is based on Polly Horvath's novel Everything on a Waffle. Students should have read the novel.

Ann Ewbank: Holes WebQuest
Anchored in seventh and eighth grade Arizona language arts standards and involves social studies and math standards, this WebQuest could be used as a part of a thematic unit involving literature and current issues/problems, and is based on Louis Sachar's novel Holes. Students should have read the novel.

Especially for 4th Grade

Kerrlita Westrick: Revolutionary War WebQuest
Students write “spy letters” using primary source letters and Web sites on cryptology.

Kerrlita Westrick: Revolutionary War WebQuest
Students are embedded reporters during a battle and have to file reports and do interview with historical figures.

Kerrlita Westrick: U. S. Constitution WebQuest
Student write a newspaper in a specific state/city telling citizens about the ratification of the Constitution. (This is fun if you collaborate with the art teacher in making “old looking” paper to publish their newspapers on.)

Judi Moreillon: Ecology WebQuest
Students write persuasive letters to decision-makers about the future of Sabino Canyon. The WebQuest is supported by the Sabino Canyon: The Web of Life Web site. (Under revision)
