- 2006 - 1950 = 56 - but my birthday is not until
September. So I am only 55!
- Tucson, Arizona is in the southeast corner of
the state. We live just sixty miles from the Mexican border. Find us

your teacher, or your parent.
- Justin was born on September 5, 1983.
- 14 X 7 = 98! Sierra had a long wonderful life,
and our family will miss him forever. Three years ago, we adopted a
then 6 year-old standard poodle named "Contessa." Tessa is a rather
rough and tumble member of her breed. We often say: "There's nothing
French about our poodle!" I love to hike in the desert with Tessa.

- Education is an important part of my life. I
love learning, hearing about new ideas, thinking about them, and sometimes
trying them out. What do you like about learning?
- When you earn a Ph.D., people can call you "doctor"
even though you've never been to medical school.
- 55 - 8 = 47 years!
- There are probably as many reasons to do journal
writing as there are people who write. For me, journaling is like talking
to myself on paper. (People would think I'm really crazy if I did all
my talking to myself out loud!) Writing helps me think, and I'm sometimes
pleasantly surprised by my thoughts. Do you keep a journal or diary?
If so, why do you write?
- 1997-1958 = 39 years! That's a long time to
work toward a dream come true, but it's been worth it. Now I have another
way to share my love of language, reading, and literature with young
people like you!
