LRC 585: Literature for Adolescents Spring 2006 Facilitator: Judi Moreillon

The purpose of the statement of goals, the midterm, and the final reflection is to provide you with decision-making related to what and how to learn and how to evaluate the process and products of learning. Beginning with personal goal setting and using self-evaluation/reflections as benchmarks, we will lay the groundwork for evaluating our own learning and ultimately our own teaching and our students' learning.

Guiding questions for goals and self-evaluations will be posted here.

Personal Goal Setting (Due February 23rd):

• What is your overall goal for this course?
• What specific individual learning engagements have you chosen?
• How many books will you read for your reading records?
• Which titles will you booktalk at the Conference?
• Will you do an author, illustrator, poet, or genre study? Who/what will you study and with whom?
• What is your Choice Project?
• What support will you need in reaching these goals?
• Which of these will be new experiences for you?
• How can the facilitator and/or your classmates support you in these new experiences?
• How will you apply what you've learned in your present/future work?
