About the Reviewers:
Front Row:
Growing up with two older brothers in a close family made
me feel safe, even though we moved a lot. Dad and Mom took
us to the library as well as read to us at home. My husband
is a non-fiction reader and marvels that I can stay up most
of the night reading when I get started with a good book.
Thank goodness for the microwave, because if it is a really
good book, dinner doesn't even get on the table! My four sons
are all science fiction fans and are teaching me the value
of this genre. Judy Stoner
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!) and
have lived in Arizona for nine years. For the past five years,
I have worked at The University of Arizona in program administration,
but I have worked in other settings, including the book-publishing
industry, corporate communications, and as a nutrition educator
in the Peace Corps. Even though I have several academic degrees,
I find myself in school again, working toward my secondary
teaching certification to become a language arts teacher and
coach. Sometimes I feel I am a poster child for the phrase
"never stop learning!" Outside of work and school,
I enjoy reading (much more now than when I was in high school,
so have faith you reluctant readers!), writing, traveling,
baking, listening to music, participating in a variety of
outdoor and volunteer activities, and spending time with my
friends and family. Peggy Ruppert
Back Row:
My name is Carrie and I was born in Los Angeles, California.
I am a fiction writer, and I hope you will be able to read
my first young adult novel soon! It's about a young girl who
goes to a different planet to learn about culture, war, and
survival. Does that sound good? When I'm not writing, I read
books, scuba dive, travel all over the world (I especially
like islands.), cook, and play with my kittens (Mimi and Gus).

Hi! My name is Meggin. I spent the first half of my life
in Minnesota. I moved to Tucson in 1989 and now live in central
Tucson with my machinist/musician husband, three great kids--ages
2, 4.5, and 14 and our pets. I am currently working on a graduate
degree in library science and hope to build a career around
my love for books, reading and writing. I enjoy reading bumperstickers
as I drive. Two of my favorites are "Kill Your Television"
and "Frodo Lives." Meggin Kitterman
