Read to Me/Vamos a leer Photo Gallery

These are some of my favorite images that show the message in Read to Me/Vamos a leer is reaching young moms and families.

Alyssa and Gavin

My great-nephew Gavin was born on September 21, 2007. He was the first infant member of my family to have Read to Me read to him.

When he was about ten days old, his mom (my niece Alyssa) read him the book as did my mom, Gavin's great-grandma Gloria.

These two photographs were taken in August 2007 at a Project L.I.F.T. class. On the right, I am signing a copy of my book for Angela's daughter. In the background, another young mom is creating a book for her baby.

Unfortunately, this worthwhile literacy program is no longer offered. (3/19/14)
