LRC 480/580: Children's Literature in the Classroom Section 7 Fall 2003 Facilitator: Judi Moreillon

The purpose of the statement of goals, the inquiry evaluation, the midterm, and the final reflection is to provide you with decision-making related to what and how to learn and how to evaluate the process and products of learning. Beginning with personal goal setting and using self-evaluation/reflections as benchmarks, we will lay the groundwork for evaluating our own learning and ultimately our own teaching and our students' learning.

Guiding questions for goals and self-evaluations will be posted here.

Personal Goal Setting (Due September 25th):

• What do you intend to accomplish in this course?
• How will you go about reaching these goals?
• What support will you need in reaching these goals?
• Which of the ten learning experiences will be new experiences for you?
• How can the facilitator and/or your classmates support you in these new experiences?
• How will you apply what you've learned in your practice as a classroom teacher and/or teacher-librarian?

Midterm Reflection and Self-Evaluation - Due: October 30, 2003
You can also choose to email your Midterm anytime before October 29th.

Final Reflection and Self-Evaluation - Due: December 7, 2003
Bring a hard copy of your final exam to class on December 4th or email your Final anytime (no later than December 7th at 7:00 p.m.).
