All choice experiences will be shared at our Celebration of Literature and Learning
on December 18th.
Share-A-Book
Share a third share-a-book experience in a school setting. Use the Share-A-Book
Reflection. Due on or before December 4th.
Picture Book Authoring
Write and illustrate a picture book. Develop a rubric for evaluating your
project. Due on or before December 4th.
Poetry Anthology
Create a collection on poetry to use with students in your future classroom.
Design a format for this anthology that will make it the most useful to you.
Develop a rubric for evaluating your project. Due on or before December 4th.
Personal Text Set Develop a personal text set. This selection of books should be chosen
because they are particularly powerful to you - stories you identify with
that connect with your own life experiences and world view. Due on or before
December 4th.
You will display and present these titles.
Provide a 1 to 2 page annotated bibliography for your classmates (one
copy for each class member and one for me).
Orally share why you selected these titles.
Conference Experience
Attend a fall conference, and write a two to three-page reflection. (You must
choose at least one session that focuses on children's literature.) Due on
or before December 13th.

Professional Readings Reflection Journal Read articles negotiated between yourself and the course facilitator.
Keep a reflection journal on your responses to the articles. Turn in your
journal along with a one-page summary of this experience. Due on or before
December 4th.
