About the Reviewer:
Born on July 23, 1977, I grew up in a small town near a
farm outside Kansas City. The house my parents owned was a
two-story with a basement and garage. They owned the house
for only four years when a tornado popped up and blew the
roof off, demolishing the house. My parents soon realized
that Kansas, was not a fun place to live. Soon after, my father
received a job offer in Tucson, Arizona.
I moved to Tucson when I was six years old. I started kindergarten
at Dunham Elementary School. Throughout my education, I attended
two different elementary schools, three different junior or
middle schools, and finally attended only one high school.
I attended Sahauro High School from 1992-96. Throughout high
school, I played soccer. Soccer obviously did not keep me
out of trouble, but I met great people and established friendships.
Soccer has giving me much of what I need to succeed in life
today. The sport is still important to me, although I do not
play as much as I would like to.
Shortly after high school, I moved to Flagstaff, Arizona.
There I attended school part time and worked full time. Moving
to Flagstaff was a wise decision for me. I met some terrific
people who have made a profound impact on my life today. I
learned a great deal in that small town. Unfortunately, I
had to move back to Tucson. I still visit Flagstaff, and sometimes
I'll run into some old friends. What a great little town.
After moving back to Tucson, I started school full time.
Currently, I am a junior in the College of Education, at
the University of Arizona. I am a proud Wildcat. Today, my
goals are to graduate, and perhaps join the Peace Corps for
an exciting career as an elementary teacher. (Spring 2002)
