Online Resources for Students and Educators

I have provided Internet pathfinders to support students or educators in building background knowledge, researching topics related to the content of the sample strategy lessons, and inquiring further into lesson topics.

An Internet pathfinder is a tool that helps researchers and inquirers focus on reading and answering questions rather than locating the Web sites themselves. Pathfinders provide students and educators with resources that have been preselected for their authority and for their relevance to the task at hand.

Several of these pathfinders have been illustrated by students after studying the pathfinder topic. If the learning objective had been for students to locate and annotate resources, they could have been invited to create pathfinders for their own use and that of their local or global classmates. Authoring pathfinders with adult facilitation is a worthwhile project for library student aides and adult volunteers as well as educators.

My goal is to keep the pathfinders up-to-date. If you find a broken link before I do, please email me at: info@storytrail.com
